Newspapers disappear throughout the UMW campus

This year, daily issues of The New York Times and the Washington Post have disappeared from their usual stands throughout campus. Many professors and staff were confused, as they looked forward to reading the paper every morning. Mary Washington used to provide The New York Times and the Washington Post all around campus for everyone to read and those who enjoyed having these papers easily available to them around campus were confused as to why they have gone missing.Read More

Partnership between UMW and GMU leads to “The 3+3 Accelerated Program” for law

The University of Mary Washington has a new pathway for students interested in law. Teaming up with George Mason University, starting in the fall semester of 2017, UMW has created an accelerated pathway into the Antonin Scalia Law School called “The 3+3 Accelerated Program” for UMW students. It was created by Richard Finkelstein, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Henry Butler, dean and professor of law at the Antonin Scalia Law School.Read More
