After a long day of classes many students look forward to winding down and having a relaxing meal at the dining hall. However, for students with allergies and other dietary restrictions, they often find themselves asking what can they eat? Although management claims the University Center offers meals suitable for all, UMW students are taking issue with the dining hall menu, finding that it lacks adequate options for students who have various dietary restrictions.

College students are unlike any other age group. We sleep in late, stay up late, and of course, eat at very odd hours of the day. This is why Universities need to be flexible with their dining hours and have plenty of options for students to choose from. Unfortunately, at UMW, these options and flexibility have been thrown out, leaving students feeling upset and cheated.
The Stop Hunger Food Drive, hosted by the University of Mary Washington and sponsored by Campus Dining and the University Athletic Department, concluded on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The goal of the drive was to collect 3,000 pounds of food for the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.
