The University of Mary Washington has a new pathway for students interested in law. Teaming up with George Mason University, starting in the fall semester of 2017, UMW has created an accelerated pathway into the Antonin Scalia Law School called “The 3+3 Accelerated Program” for UMW students. Student Senate and SGA pass motion for a sauna in the gym

Men’s basketball season comes to an end while women prepare for CAC tournament

The University of Mary Washington men’s basketball team finished off their season with a 98-79 win over Wesley College last Saturday to end their season. After suffering four losses out of their last five games, the Eagles triumphed over the Wolverines to end their regular season with an overall record of 12-13 and a Capital Athletic Conference record of 8-10.Read More

Bakari Sellers, former Democratic legislator from South Carolina, now TV political commentator and practicing attorney, visited the University of Mary Washington for his keynote address on Wednesday. Sellers spoke to students and faculty as an addition to the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day sponsored and organized by the Office of the President and the James Farmer Multicultural Center. Sellers addressed the crowd and discussed the importance of the civil rights leaders of the past who shaped the nation’s future.Read More
